Ordering

How to place an order?

We are able to accept orders from the UK only via the website. To order an item simply select the item you wish to purchase, click on the "Add to Shopping Basket" button and then Register as a Customer. (If you have already registered as a customer, please Sign in.) You will then be taken through the purchasing process and asked to supply payment via a secure, independent payment service (SagePay).

Do I need to register as a customer in order to buy from the website?

Yes, to improve our service to you and to prevent fraud, we ask all customers to register to purchase from us.

Can I place an order from outside the UK?

Currently we only accept orders on the website from the UK.

Who do I contact if I have a query about an order or a product on the website?

You should find comprehensive product information on the website. However, if you have further questions then, please send us an email to adam.myers@bloodpressureuk.org. We strive to answer all enquiries speedily and satisfactorily and will reply to your enquiry within 3 working days.

How will I know that you have received my order?

You will receive an email confirming that we have received your order. You will also receive a separate email from SagePay indicating successful payment of your order.

How can I find out about the status of my order?

By registering as a customer you can view the status of your orders at any time by visiting "My Account". You will also receive order updates via email to confirm both receipt of your order and dispatch of the items.

How do I cancel an order?

We endeavour to send out your order as quickly as we can - usually within 3-5 working days - therefore cancelling an order may not always be possible. However, please send us an email at adam.myers@bloodpressureuk.org and we will confirm whether the order has despatched.

Returns & Refunds

 

What is your Returns policy?

If you wish to return goods you are not happy with, please us notify us in writing by emailing us at shop@bloodpressureuk.org within 7 days of receiving your order. Then return your product (enclosing a note with the details and the reason why you are returning the item) in its original condition and packaging to the returns address below.

Return instructions are also enclosed within the order you receive.

Please note that the parcel and its contents are your responsibility until they reach us. We therefore recommend that you return the parcel using recorded delivery, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit. Please retain proof of postage as you will need this to make a claim with the Royal Mail if the item is lost. Goods are returned at your expense.

Please return the goods, ideally, within 7 working days after receiving the order. On return of the goods, we will refund the full cost of the item and our original postage and packing costs, provided the goods are in perfect condition.

If the product is a DVD, CD or software, we will only accept items that are unopened and in their original cellophane wrappers. This restriction does not apply to items such as monitors and weighing scales, which may be opened and used before return.

Please note we can only refund to the credit or debit card originally used to purchase the goods.

What do I do if the goods arrived damaged?

In the unlikely event that any of the goods arrive damaged, please notify us in writing within 7 days of receiving your order by emailing us at adam.myers@bloodpressureuk.org and follow the returns process as outlined above.

We therefore recommend that you return the parcel using recorded delivery, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit. Please return the goods within 7 working days after receiving the order. We will refund the value of the returned item and all postage costs. Please note we can only refund to the card used to purchase the goods originally.

Warranty on Blood Pressure Monitors and Weighing Scales

All Microlife blood pressure monitors and weighing scales have a 1-year warranty. Should the machine become faulty during this period, please notify us by email at adam.myers@bloodpressureuk.org including details of the date of purchase, purchaser's name, delivery address and the nature of the fault. We will replace the faulty machine with a new machine of the same model. If the particular model is no longer available, we will replace the faulty machine with a model of the same, or higher, specification.

To recieve a replacement, please return the item to the returns address below. Please note that the parcel and its contents are your responsibility until they reach us. We therefore recommend that you return the parcel using recorded delivery, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit. Please retain proof of postage as you will need this to make a claim with the Royal Mail if the item is lost. Goods are returned at your expense.

Security and Payment Methods

Is it safe to buy online from Blood Pressure UK?

Yes. SagePay - a secure, independent transaction system - manages all payment transactions on our behalf. Blood Pressure UK does not capture or retain any credit or debit card information.

What methods of payment are available?

Debit and credit card payments using the SagePay system are accepted. We cannot accept any other form of payment online.
